Mickey’s Christmas Carol – Part 1 in the Series of Window Displays at the Magic Kingdom

A couple of weeks ago we posted about the window displays found at the Emporium on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. For the next few weeks we are going to share more of these window displays with you! Each window tells a different piece of Scrooge’s story (and in the Disney version it’s Scrooge McDuck as the main character). In the beginning we find Mickey as Bob Cratchit, working himself to no end for the old miser Scrooge. Even his nephew Fred, played by Donald Duck, can’t summon any Christmas cheer in the old bah humbug Ebenezer.

Donald as Nephew Fred with Scrooge McDuck

Nephew Fred: “Merry Christmas Bob Cratchit! Merry Christmas Uncle Scrooge!”

Scrooge: “What’s so merry about it? I’ll tell you what Christmas is – it’s just another work day, and any Jack of Apes who thinks else, should be boiled in his own pudding.”

Nephew Fred: “I don’t care – I say Merry Christmas anyway. MERRY CHRISTMAS!”

Next Monday we’ll take a look a the window displays depicting the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future.

    Great shots!

Did you know that these displays were originally created for and shown at the Village Marketplace?

I did not! I’ve only seen them at the Magic Kingdom (last year and this year). I wondered if they were made specifically for that or if they came from somewhere else. You learn something new everyday! ;-)
